Anil Mohan

Vice President General Counsel

Anil Mohan is Vice President General Counsel of Chorus Aviation Inc. and has held many senior legal roles in the aviation sector.  He previously served in Canada and abroad as the Vice President Legal of Jazz Aviation LP and Chorus Aviation Capital (Ireland) Limited, with responsibilities beyond the legal role, including fleet transactions, commercial and defence contracting, and facilities management.  He also served as the General Counsel for the Halifax International Airport Authority responsible for the legal function as well as enterprise risk management and litigation.  As Legal Counsel to I.M.P. Group International Inc., Anil advised executive management about airline and charter operations, heavy maintenance for commercial and military aircraft, aerospace component manufacturing, sales of healthcare supplies and services, and provision of information technology solutions. 

Before moving in-house, Anil practiced law with Metcalf & Company, a prominent commercial and transportation firm where he performed a wide range of marine and commercial work for a variety of insurers, ship owners and lenders.  Anil earned a law degree from Dalhousie Law School and was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2000. Before entering the practice of law, Anil started his aviation career as a military officer with the Canadian Regular and Reserve Forces with direct operations experience over 2,900 flight hours, employed as an aircraft navigator, air navigation instructor and electronic warfare officer.  He was awarded the Canadian Decoration in 1994 and honourably released from the Regular and Reserve Forces in the rank of Captain.
